The King Who Wouldn't Sing
The City of Surrey is arguably the fastest growing city in Canada - it is now the eighth largest in terms of population, and certainly one of the most ethnically diverse. Music, singing, dancing, theatre (when combined this is opera), and the arts, bring vitality, a sense of identity and pride to the community. The home base of the Young People's Opera Society of British Columbia is this vibrant City of Surrey.
The Young People's Opera Society's mission is to develop a sustainable music program that is accessible and beneficial to all sectors of the population.
